Sell Gill Fence Replacement

On Sunday 19th January, in fine but bitterly cold winter sunshine, the CNCC had a great turn out from RRCPC, BPC, CPC, Gritstone Club and EPC to help replace the fencing around Sell Gill Holes. The sun shone all morning while the rusty old fence was dismantled and then the new sheep-friendly fence was constructed. This proved to be a good chance for everyone to meet and socialise while working. Ric and Pat Halliwell then provided soup and refreshments at the CPC cottage. A nice simple project but really showing off cavers doing their bit to keep cave entrances stockproof, safe and well maintained.

Thank you to everyone for your help.
