CNCC at Hidden Earth 2025
Hidden Earth 2025 at Llangollen Pavilion was a record breaking year for attendance, and had a completely full lecture program leaving delegates struggling to decide which of the three parallel rooms to be in!
The trade hall was busy with plenty of vendors and stalls, including the increasingly popular video salon.
CNCC were there too, and our stall provided an opportunity for cavers to read about what we do, and to chat to some of our team. Our training team, Ian Patrick and Mark Richards, and others were on-hand both days and brought along a new contribution to our stall - a selection of anchoring kit including two types of anchor puller and even a screwed-in anchor in a block for people to practice on. This was also a great opportunity to showcase the chain design recently implemented in Simpson Pot, and to talk about current techniques and approaches. Ian and Mark were kept busy!

We will be back at Llangollen in 2026, with the date of the next conferences having been announced at the closing ceremony of this one! Llangollen Pavilion again (an excellent venue), 25-27th September 2026.
