We have received a report of a collapse at the lower end of Runscar Caves at Ribblehsead.
Groups/individuals visiting Runscar Caves should be particularly aware of this and consider avoiding the area of this collapse.
If there are any groups willing to perform some remedial work here, please get in touch with our Conservation Officer (conservation@cncc.org.uk).
UPDATE 13th April 2018: Work has now been undertaken at the collapse (which is the Runscar bottom entrance). The loose rock at the cave entrance has been removed and the cave entrance taken back about a metre to reach more stable rock. Visitors are asked to continue to pay particular attention and to report to the CNCC any further issues or concerns.
