Contact landowner
Contact should be made in advance directly with the landowner.
The cave is approached mostly via public footpath from Arncliffe (or Litton), and is located only 150m off the footpath.
New owners in 2025 have resulted in a recent change in access requirements for this cave.
Assume permission as per Scoska Cave. The land around Bown Scar is leased to Neil Heseltine of Hill Top, Malham and additional permission from the tenant may be required.
