Access

Landowner is Rainscar House. Permission is freely and kindly granted for cavers to take the track from the parking area at Dale Head, going south-west, away from Penyghent, through Rainscar Pasture to reach the Access Land boundary. There is no need to call at Rainscar House to ask permission if approaching from Dale Head.

Route Description
A true gem, offering a long day out needing lots of time and tackle, but without the difficulties many people associate with caves on Fountains Fell. Well prepared visitors will struggle to be disappointed by a trip to Curtain Pot.
