Oil drum climb down at bottom of entrance pitch should be checked for integrity before descending (it is starting to rust away which can result in the liberation of small rocks packed behind it; always check carefully).

Permit required
Advanced permission is required.
Permission can often be granted at short notice but may sometimes take a little longer as the keeper needs to be consulted about local restrictions due to pheasant breeding and shooting. Access for BCA member clubs with PLI cover.
