Access
No restrictions
No permission is required. Please be courtous to land owners and follow an reasonable requests they make. Park with respect and don't block gateways etc.
Landowner is not known despite enquiries (originally assumed to be Bolton Estate but they dispute that). Given the close proximity of the entrance to the road, and based on informal advice from local keepers, we advise that cavers do not need to ask permission to visit. Bear in mind that this is not access land, so please respect any requests made by any landowners/keepers you meet and be courteous. Do not block gates or the road when parking, bearing in mind large agricultural vehicles will need to pass, and potentially turn into fields and gates. It is suggested to park on a large verge a short distance further up the hill and walk back down the road.
