We have received notice (May 2025) that parking at South House Farm is no longer permitted. The owners are very friendly but have unfortunately had a bad experience with people parking on their land. They agreed for cavers to park in the layby on the main road opposite the turn into their track (please park well away from the gate so you don't block turning circles for larger vehicles) and approach from there following the public rights of way. That probably remains the closest route of approach (1.6 miles), however, if parking there is full (it will be a popular spot with walkers), it is not much further to approach from Crummack Dale (parking as for the caves on The Allotment, 2.0 miles).
