Hazards and Warnings
Valley Entrance must be pre-rigged to enable exit for pull-through trips. Always take several ropes for pull-through trips in the event that some get stuck which could risk stranding between pitches.
Frequent rescues due to pull-through trips abseiling into The Pit (sometimes known as Bob's Pit). Ensure appropriate advanced research and check onward route before pulling rope through if in any doubt.

Chains were installed on Slit Pot, Slit Pot Overhead / Alternative and Great Aven pitches in Simpson Pot on 16th April 2025, following extensive discussions, to facilitate a more efficient pull-through on these three pitches. The topo has been updated with a user guide. Only use these chains if you are suitably experienced to do so safely.
