Access
Contact landowner
Contact should be made in advance directly with the landowner.
The landowner requests that visiting groups please provide written notice of their planned visit at least one week in advance, by writing with an SAE to Mr and Mrs Smith, Pemberton Farm, Tatterthorn Lane, Ingleton, Carnforth, LA6 3DS. In the letter you should provide notice of your intended date of your visit, approximate group size and include a contact telephone number. There is no need to await a reply providing the letter is sent with at least one weeks notice (if no reply is received assume it is OK to go), however, the landowner will be in touch if there are any problems.
Do not park opposite the access gate (this has been problematic in the past),
It is a polite request of the landowner that no photos/videos of the cave or trip reports are posted on the internet anywhere. Please help us to maintain on-going access to this cave and good relations by respecting this polite request.
(The entrance photograph request below is standard wording, and does not apply to this cave)
