Simpson-Swinsto warning
9 January 2021
We have received a warning that the boulders at the foot of the final pitch of Simpson's Pot and Swinsto Hole (leading down to the Kingsdale Master Cave) shows signs of recent substantial movement and this area is currently a little insecure.
We advise anyone visiting this area to be particularly observant to the status of this boulder slope and to pass this area with additional care. It may be prudent to check the status of this from Valley Entrance before committing to any pull-through trips until we have received more detailed information, as further movement could potentially block the route.
Check the warnings on the Simpson's Pot and Swinsto Hole pages for the most up to date information. The current warnings about this will be updated as we learn more, and removed once the issue has been resolved or deemed to no longer present additional hazards.
