White Scar Cave
22 June 2021
Access beyond the show-cave in White Scar is currently not possible
This follows the observation in June 2021 of a recent collapse in the boulders just beyond Big Bertha Choke, leaving some very dangerously positioned loose blocks. The route is not safely navigable at present. Discussions are ongoing between Craven Pothole Club, the CNCC, and the show cave owners to undertake remedial action to restore access beyond the show cave.
Check our White Scar Cave page, which will have the warning removed once access is restored.
Note that the show-cave itself is unaffected, as this is beyond the parts of the cave that public can explore. White Scar Cave remains safe and open for business as usual to the public.
