Jingling Pot treefall update
28 December 2021
Following on from the recent treefall at Jingling Pot:
https://cncc.org.uk/news/20211209-jingling-pot-treefall
We are pleased to say that our Conservation Officer has worked with volunteers to arrange dispatch of the problematic fallen tree. The entrance is now safe, although we do advise cavers to watch out for loose earth and stones near the top that may have come loose as a result of the work.
We are not clear at the moment whether this was the same tree often rigged off for the direct descent as shown on the topo, but we will be checking this out as soon as possible and updating the topo accordingly.
Thank you to the volunteers involved for the quick response!
