This workshop was initially open to women only but we have now opened to all.

The 2 day rescue workshop will cover issues with strength, height and confidence in a non-judgemental proactive manner.

This 2 day workshop is aimed at cavers who are SRT competent and wish to start expanding their skill set in order to assist or offer simple rescues  to their fellow cavers whilst using SRT.

• SRT kit suitability
• Hoisting
• Equipment 
• Introduction to spare rope recues
• Working from the pitch head
• Lowering 
• Tips to assist those struggling on SRT ascent 
• Rescue statistics and emergency equipment

Format: A 2 day workshop, first day indoors and second day underground

Trainer:  Helen Hooper

Candidate pre requisite:  Must be SRT competent and ideally have had some rope work experience I.e., know a few knots and basic rigging techniques.
