This one day workshop is aimed at cavers who have some SRT experience and want a more challenging trip underground to refresh their skills.
With the kind support of the Craven Pothole Club, we will be taking advantage of the pre rigged ropes and entering the system via Stream Passage Pot, after a visit to the spectacular main chamber we will exit via Bar Pot with its notorious “entrance pitch”. We will then head back to the shake hole for a well deserved hot drink
Suitable for: Cavers with some SRT experience who want to refresh and consolidate their skills in a more challenging environment. The trip will include some exposed traversing, sporting streamway, deviations and the notorious exit at Bar Pot which is narrow at the top.
Format: A one day workshop. We will run through equipment set up and have a quick refresh of skills before setting off to the sporting entrance of Stream Passage pot. Here we will descend focusing on fine tuning SRT skills, a visit to the spectacular main chamber and the head out via Bar Pot
