CNCC Trainers Moderation Day - Saturday 7th February
We are now partnered with five instructors to allow us to deliver our program of training workshops.
These workshops are subsidised by BCA, and by the trainers themselves who support CNCC at a discounted rate. This means we can offer affordable and accessible workshops in our region for cavers to improve their skills. These are now attended by cavers from all across the UK who travel to our region specifically for our events.
This is particularly useful for cavers who do not have access to training facilities directly or through their clubs.
To ensure consistent delivery of our workshops, and to remain up to date with developments in SRT techniques, equipment and caving, our trainers give up a day of their time each year to attend a moderation event. This provides an opportunity for detailed discussion, sharing of experience, and the practical review of key skills.
This 2026 event was hosted by the Craven Pothole Club, whose support is gratefully acknowledged.
